Spiritual Energy and the Connection Between Body and Soul

Many people are looking to connect more deeply with both their physical bodies and their spiritual selves. Spiritual energy has been a subject of human attention for thousands of years, described across nearly every tradition, even though it sits outside what current science can measure.

This article explains what spiritual energy is, what science can and cannot tell us about it, and what my own research has found about how the body and soul are connected. Some of what follows is established science. Some is my research, developed over twenty-five years of practice. The two are different kinds of knowledge, and keeping them distinct matters.

What Spiritual Energy Is

Spiritual energy, as the term is used across traditions, is a force that flows through all living things and connects them to something larger: a higher power, a wider awareness, the source of life itself. Different traditions describe it as a subtle vibration or frequency that a person can learn to feel.

Energy itself is not spiritual or non-spiritual. It is simply energy. The label “spiritual energy” refers to a particular part of the full range: the higher frequencies that operate beyond the material world.

Based on my research, and consistent with what other spiritual writers describe, the universe's energy spans twelve main dimensions of frequency, from 1D to 12D. Human beings currently operate in the 3D range. In this framework, what spiritual teachings call spiritual energy is the energy of the 4D through 12D range, above the material level where ordinary human life takes place. This is a research framework, not a finding of physical science, and I will be clear below about where the two kinds of knowledge meet and where they do not.

What Science Actually Says

It is worth being precise about what science does and does not establish here, because the two are often run together in ways that do not hold up.

Physics does establish that all matter is energy. At the subatomic level, what looks solid is patterns of energy in motion. Quantum physics studies matter and energy at the smallest scales and describes a reality made of energy and probability rather than fixed solid objects. This is real, well-established science.

What physics does not do is demonstrate the existence of spiritual energy, chakras, higher dimensions of consciousness, or energy transfer between people. Those are claims from spiritual traditions and from direct experience and research like mine, not findings of physics. The two statements live in different domains.

I make this distinction deliberately. A great deal of spiritual writing borrows the language of quantum physics to sound authoritative, and readers with a scientific background see through it immediately. What I describe below as spiritual energy stands on my research and on the consistent testimony of traditions across history. It does not need physics to prop it up, and presenting it as though physics proves it would be dishonest. For readers interested in where physics and spiritual understanding genuinely touch, I have written separately on the relationship between the quantum world and spiritual experience.

My Research: Spiritual Energy and the Body-Soul Connection

What follows is from my own research, developed through direct higher vision over twenty-five years of practice, and confirmed with other higher souls who are able to confirm this.

The body and soul are deeply connected, and each affects the other. The body is the physical form. The soul is the deeper essence, is pure consciousness, the part of a person that connects to something larger, whether that is called the Universe, God, a higher power, or the Higher Self.

Spiritual energy is what moves through the connection between them. It is present in the flow of emotion, in sensitivity to one's surroundings, in the shifts of mood and perception that everyone experiences daily. At the base level, everything is energy, including the body, and the body's energetic state and the soul's energetic state are constantly influencing each other.

In my research, the energies that operate beyond the physical are all forms of this spiritual energy. Kundalini energy, for example, is one form of it, and it works in close relationship with the body's own frequencies.

This layer is not something current instruments can measure. The most reliable tools for perceiving it remain trained human practitioners.

What the Research on Spirituality and Health Shows

While science does not measure spiritual energy directly, there is a substantial and growing body of research on spiritual practice and health, and that research is worth describing accurately.

A study from the University of California, Los Angeles, found that people who engage in practices such as meditation show lower levels of stress and anxiety. The researchers attributed this to the effect of meditation on the nervous system, particularly the reduction of the stress response and the activation of the body's calming, parasympathetic systems.

A study published in the Journal of Behavioral Medicine examined the relationship between spirituality and health outcomes, and found that people with a strong sense of spirituality tended to show better recovery and overall health. The researchers connected this to factors such as lower stress, stronger social support, a clearer sense of meaning, and the healthier behaviors that often accompany an active spiritual life.

Note what these studies do and do not say. They do not measure or confirm spiritual energy. What they show is that spiritual practice correlates with measurable health benefits, through mechanisms that conventional science can describe: stress reduction, nervous-system regulation, social connection, and a sense of meaning.

My research adds a layer underneath those mechanisms. In my work, spiritual practice also restores the flow of higher energy through the body and strengthens the body-soul connection, and that deeper effect sits alongside the stress-reduction and nervous-system mechanisms the studies identify. Both layers are real. The medical research describes the part it can measure; my research describes the part it cannot.

Spiritual Energy in Holistic Healing

Beyond its effect on health through the mechanisms above, spiritual energy has a place in holistic approaches to wellbeing. Holistic work considers mind, body, and spirit together and aims at the root of a difficulty rather than the symptom alone.

One common method is energy work. A practitioner trained in this work uses spiritual energy to help clear blockages in another person's energy field and restore the flow of life force. This can be done in person or at a distance. Energy work of this kind is best understood as a complement to medical care, not a replacement for it. A responsible practitioner will say so directly and will refer a person to a doctor when that is what the situation calls for.

Practices for Working with Spiritual Energy

Several practices help a person work with and balance spiritual energy.

Meditation. The most reliable way to connect with the spiritual layer. By quieting the mind and turning attention inward, a person becomes able to perceive and work with the energy that is otherwise drowned out by mental noise.

Breathwork. Deliberate control of the breath directly affects the flow of energy through the body. Specific breathing practices have been used for this purpose across many traditions.

Yoga and tai chi. These combine breath, movement, and attention to support the flow of energy through the body, and they develop the body's capacity to hold higher states.

Grounding. Direct contact with the earth reconnects the body to Earth's energy and discharges what has become stagnant. Kundalini energy is closely tied to Earth's energy, and grounding practices support that connection directly. I cannot overstate how important grounding is for your energy and your long-term health. In my work I notice that most people have a badly narrowed connection to Earth, so the Earth's energy the body needs does not reach its organs, and over time health problems can develop.

Caring for the body. What you eat affects the body's vibration. Whole, unprocessed foods support a higher vibration, while heavy processed foods lower it. In my experience, a heavy diet, including a large amount of meat, tends to slow spiritual progress by keeping the body's vibration low, because the tiny energy conduits inside the body become clogged by these lower vibration energies.

Spiritual Traditions and Their Approaches

Many traditions offer their own ways of working with spiritual energy.

Yoga and qigong are old traditions that combine physical movement, breath, and meditation to support both physical and spiritual health. They bring body and mind into alignment so that energy moves more freely.

Sound, crystal, and scent-based practices use particular vibrations and frequencies to bring the body and energy field into better balance. Working with specific frequencies can help settle and rebalance the chakras.

Some modern spiritual approaches combine elements such as Earth and Sun energies, the release of limiting beliefs, and the clearing of chakras. Spiritual practice today looks different from ancient practice, because human consciousness itself has developed over that time, and the methods have developed with it.

Closing

Spiritual energy is real in the experience of people across every tradition and in my own research, even though it sits outside what current science can measure. What science can tell us is genuine and worth knowing: matter is energy, and spiritual practice produces measurable benefits for health through mechanisms that can be described. What my research adds is the layer underneath: the body-soul connection, the flow of higher energy, and the work of strengthening both.

If you want to begin working with this, start with one practice and stay with it. Meditation is the most reliable entry point. The connection between your body and your soul is already there. The work is learning to feel it, and then to keep it clear.
